Dos arbolitos (by Gaby)
“Ready?” John said taking Roma’s hand as soon as she descended the steps of her trailer that afternoon when they were filming the episode “The letter”.
She shot him a charming smile that reflected the joy in her heart. When just one year ago she had found so difficult to go back to work after she had finally signed the divorce, she was now looking forward to spend months filming the sixth season of the show that had changed her life forever. “Yes, I’m ready…” she replied to John and squeezed his hand lovingly, shooting him a warm smile.
Of all the changes that she had faced during the years she had been filming Touched by an angel, John was most likely the biggest and the best. After a long year fighting for her divorce, she had opened her heart to the tender and pure love the blond actor had offered her, and she felt she has just now started to live.
Hand in hand they walked along the line of trailers that were parked at the end of the fields where they would be filming as “Monica” and “Andrew” were required in the same scene, but just as they reached the last trailer, John stopped and pulled Roma’s hand. “John, what?” Roma turned to see him.
“Shh…” he placed a finger on her lips, and after quickly looking around to see if there was someone nearby, he grabbed her by the waist and kissed her on the lips.
It took Roma just a second to adjust to the situation. She was now used to John’s wild character, and she just adored him when he surprised her that way. When she had felt his lips pressing against hers, she had forgotten everything around them. Her arms circled his neck automatically and didn’t let go until air became a necessity for them both.
“Now, we can go play the good angels,” John added mischievously. “Otherwise I wouldn’t have borne…”
Roma smiled and leaned to give him a light peck. “You’re terrible!”
“But you love me the same…” he added and placed a hand on her shoulder to lead her towards the rest of the cast.
To the guest actors that had joined them that week the fact that the protagonists arrived smiling and blushing a little meant nothing in particular, but for two co-stars that knew them well enough it showed something different, and Della Reese and Alexis Cruz just looked at each other in mutual understanding.
